A look back:

More than 40,000 visitors took to the streets with the FirstWorks Festival: On the Plaza on September 29, 2012. Audiences flipped out watching a spectacular vertical performance held 30-stories in the air and were inspired by a creative smorgasbord of over 200 performers. Complete with the heat of a full Waterfire lighting, festival participants discovered a world of culture at this free festival of music, dance and performance in Providence's Greater Kennedy Plaza.

The FirstWorks Urban Carnevale and Festival On the Plaza 2015 are funded in part by a National Endowment for the Arts "Our Town" grant, The City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, the Rhode Island Foundation and GTECH. Additional support is provided by Bank of America and Providence Tourism Council.
